The ADTA is the representative body of professional driving instructors. Members are qualified to provide a high standard of instruction for all types of driving licences - from cars to heavy trucks and buses.

The ADTA's origins go back more than 50 years - from the Motor Schools Association and the Driving Schools Association. The first Australian Driver Trainers Association was formed in 1991 in NSW. Soon after, it spawned the Australian Driver Trainers Association National body. Since its formation the ADTA in NSW has been the leading body representing driving instructors and has established itself as a respected Association at state and national level able to contribute to a wide range of issues and topics relating to driver training & education.
